Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” — Martin Luther King Jr.

As a lifelong Kansan, I’ve spent my life deeply rooted in the values and community of this state. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Justice Studies from Fort Hays State University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. During this time, I developed a profound appreciation for the essential role of civil liberties, a commitment that has guided my legal career.

I furthered my education at the University of Kansas School of Law, earning my Juris Doctorate and being honored with election to The Order of the Coif. At KU, I had the privilege of serving as the Articles Editor for the Kansas Law Review and authored a published comment on the constitutional challenges related to school vouchers.

After growing up in Western Kansas, I relocated to Wichita in 2002, where I began practicing law. With over twenty years of experience in complex civil litigation, my practice primarily focused on defending professionals accused of malpractice. I have tried or assisted in more than twenty professional liability trials.

I have also concentrated much of my career on research, writing, and appellate practice. I am particularly proud to have been named Best Lawyers’ Lawyer of the Year in Appellate Practice in 2019. My practice extends across multiple jurisdictions, including Kansas, Missouri, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

At Triad Legal, I am excited to channel my extensive experience into criminal defense litigation, with a focus on legal research, writing advocacy, and appellate work. My commitment remains steadfast in providing exceptional representation and advocating for our clients with unwavering integrity and dedication.
